Artist Bio:
Abby Pierce is a part of the 2020 senior class of Hardaway High School. She carries her artistry in many forms from writing to cosmetology. Abby will attend Columbus Technical College in the fall and follow that with earning a degree in psychology.
Artist Statement:
During the IB courses, I worked with the idea of the inner self and spirituality. I wanted to show the brighter side of this and illustrate when people discover who they are. My biggest goal besides the stories of the pieces was the emotion within them. I want the viewer to feel the serenity and peace portrayed in the pieces, or to feel the awkwardness of a piece. I want the work to have an impact and be a positive message that you can achieve peace within yourself.
